MICROCHIPPING

Barmoodie Kennels are pleased to offer Microchipping. Many pet owners are now recognising that Micro-chipping is the best way to identify their pet. It offers complete peace of mind, so in the awfu event of you losing your pet, you should be reunited, quickly. This procedure isBarmoodie Microchipping Service - Only £15.00 quick, and painless. We put a tiny microchip under the loose skin at the back of your dog's neck. It is like a routine injection and your dog won't know it's there.

The microchip holds a 'unique number' which is registered on the Petlog database alongside the owners details. This allows the owners details to be changed should they move premises or the dog be re-homed.

The chip is made out of inert materials to avoid rejection by the body, has no power source and has an anti-migration coating to avoid movement, once implanted. Each chip has its own unique ID number. This is logged with Petlog, which is staffed 24/7.

Once your pet and your details are registered, you will receive a registration certificate. Please keep this safe and remember to keep it up to date, so that you can easily be contacted, if your pet goes missing. Lost & Found - 0800 652 9977.

The police, RSPCA, dog homes, dog wardens, local authorities and vets can scan the chip. The database, which operates 24 hours per day, will be contacted and the ID number will confirm your address and then you and your pet will be reunited.
